Fulham SNT – Proactive Cycle Operation

Today, officers from Fulham Safer Neighbourhoods Team conducted a proactive cycle operation in Fulham. This activity was carried out in response to ongoing concerns regarding cyclists Failing to comply with a red traffic light and Cycling on the pavement, raised by members of the community, local businesses and Fulham BID.

During the operation, officers reported 10 riders for Failing to comply with a red traffic light and 2 riders for Cycling on the pavement – with both offences carrying a penalty of £50 fine. 

In addition to bicycles, officers also stopped e-bikes and e-scooters that they encountered to ensure they were road legal—including checks on power output, throttle restrictions, and pedal assist requirements. All e-bikes checked were compliant, however officers seized one e-scooter and the rider was processed accordingly.
